I don’t have the traditional equipment used in El Salvador, but these tools have become essential in my kitchen. I believe in buying high-quality products so they last a long time. It took me years to build up and afford these. I started with cheaper options until I could invest in what I have now. Don’t feel like you need these to start cooking. Use what you have!
Below are links to products I use regularly. These aren’t sponsored, they’re just what I personally rely on. There are plenty of higher-end and more affordable options online. This is just to give you an idea of what works for me.

Lodge Enameled Dutch Oven
For beans, pasta sauce, stews, and other dishes that require low and slow simmering.
Lodge Cast Iron Skillet
My go-to for searing, frying, and getting that perfect crust.
Lodge Cast Iron Reversible Grill/Griddle
Essential for pupusas and anything else that needs even heat across a flat surface.
Cuisinart 14-Cup Food Processor
Saves so much time on prep. I snagged an older model at a super steal clearance price at Costco—keep an eye out for deals!
Souper Cubes Freezer Tray Set
Always in use. I love the different sizes for freezing ingredients and meals. I typically don't keep items stored in the cubes long-term—I freeze them in the trays, then transfer to freezer ziplock bags or vacuum seal them.
FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System
A game-changer for meal prep and keeping ingredients fresh in the freezer. Costco and Sam's Club regularly put this product on sale, so keep an eye out!
Sur La Table 5-Ply Stainless Steel Skillet
Great for when you need precise temperature control or cooking with acidic ingredients.
Teak Haus Traditional Cutting Board
A solid, durable cutting board that holds up to heavy prep work. I found mine at Homegoods!
